Chris Suarez is an Assistant Vice President of Thomas D. Wood and Company where he is responsible for the origination, underwriting and placement of income property loans. Chris offers clients a diverse background of experience. Prior to joining Thomas D. Wood and Company, Chris worked with Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, a public accounting firm, as a member of their litigation support team. At Morrison Brown, Argiz, & Farra, Chris worked on a variety of real estate related litigation supporting the firm’s expert witnesses.

Additionally, Chris was Director of Research & Underwriting for Axis Realty Partners. As Director of Research & Underwriting, he was responsible for underwriting acquisitions, determining target markets and asset types for investment. At Axis, Chris underwrote in excess of $1 Billion in multi-family, retail and office assets in Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and the Washington D.C. area. Among Chris’ achievements was the development of a systematic and measurable acquisition methodology for Axis.

Prior to joining Axis, Chris was a member of the National Retail Group at Marcus & Millichap and has also worked with Cushman & Wakefield and Codina Group. Chris is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate and Mortgage Broker in the state of Florida.

Chris is a graduate of Brown University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science.
