Marshall Smith is Executive Vice President of Thomas D. Wood and Company where he is responsible for the origination, underwriting and placement of income property loans, joint ventures, and equity deals. Mr. Smith is also responsible for developing and maintaining investor and real estate owner relationships.

Mr. Smith joined Thomas D. Wood and Company in June of 1990. Prior to joining Thomas D. Wood and Company Mr. Smith served as an Assistant Vice President with W. Lyman Case and Company in Miami, FL. Mr. Smith’s responsibilities included underwriting of commercial real estate finance.

While at W. Lyman Case and Company Mr. Smith’s duties included market studies, lease analysis, rent and expense projections, and full appraisals of commercial properties.

From 1986 to 1987, Mr. Smith worked as a sales representative for Stuart James Investment Bankers in Miami, FL. As a registered representative he was responsible for Investment Security Sales.

From 1985 to 1986 Mr. Smith worked as a Personal Financial Planner and Security Salesman with H.M. Barth Financial Planners in Miami, FL. While at H.M. Barth Financial Planners, Mr. Smith’s responsibilities included preparing financial plans for individuals, and the sales of various financial products to reduce personal income taxes.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He resides in Miami, FL.
