Patrick Harrington is Vice President of Thomas D. Wood and Company where he is responsible for the origination, underwriting, and placement of debt and equity financing for all types of income-producing properties. Patrick is also responsible for developing and maintaining investor and real estate owner relationships.
Prior to joining Thomas D. Wood & Co. in 2011, Patrick was President of Harrington International which seeks to acquire trophy beachfront properties and private islands in the Southern Bahamas for resale and future resort development. From 2006 to 2011, Patrick and his partners acquired over 250 acres of some of the most extraordinary natural sites in the Bahamas.
From 2004 to 2007, Patrick was Vice President of Churchill Mortgage in Los Angeles where he arranged and closed in excess of $800 million of debt financing for all types of commercial real estate, either on an individual basis or as part of a three-person originating team. Major transactions included a $440 million refinance of Century Plaza Towers and $175 million refinance of Watt Plaza, both office towers located in Century City, CA and both placed with life insurance co. lenders.
From 2001 to 2004, Patrick was an analyst for George Elkins Mortgage Banking Co. responsible for underwriting and packaging commercial loan requests on behalf of three senior producers. Simultaneously, he earned an MBA at the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
From 1994 to 2001, Patrick worked as an investment consultant for First Midwest Securities in Chicago raising private equity for several technology startups.
Patrick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University (’94) and an MBA from the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA (’03). |
