Rod Anderson

Roderick B. Anderson - Mr. Anderson has been member of the Thomas D. Wood & Company team since opening the Tampa office in 2003. He is directly responsible for all loan production and origination, and servicing support, for the Tampa office.

He is a 19-year veteran of the commercial and multi-family real estate industry with an extensive background in appraisal, feasibility, and consulting work, together with originating and structuring commercial and multi-family loans. The scope of his commercial real estate experience includes all income property types.

Beginning in 1995 Mr. Anderson’s focus within the commercial real estate business has been in the area of real estate finance. He was Senior Vice President of Argus Capital from 2000 to 2002. Prior to joining Argus Capital, Mr. Anderson was Senior Director for AMI Capital and head of production in the State of Florida. During the years 1995 through 1999, Mr. Anderson was Vice President and Regional Manager for Metmor Financial, a wholly owned mortgage-banking subsidiary of Met Life, which later became Mellon Mortgage Company, through acquisition. Mr. Anderson’s duties included all responsibilities for loan origination and with Metmor Financial included overseeing fieldwork for the servicing of portfolio loans in his region. Loan programs included, Life Companies, FNMA DUS, Freddie Mac, Wall Street conduits and traditional banks.

Prior to entering the finance segment of the commercial real estate industry in 1995, Mr. Anderson was engaged in commercial real estate appraisal and consulting work beginning in 1986. The scope of his services included, but was not limited to, marketing, feasibility and appraisal analysis. It includes all of the major income property types, as well as a number of special purpose properties, along with commercial and residential development properties.
Mr. Anderson is a licensed Florida mortgage broker. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Anderson attended Florida State University, where he completed a major in economics with a concentration in economics history and a minor in real estate and general business.
