Background
Spencer Wilson, Senior Vice President/Mortgage Banker, joined Thomas D. Wood and Company in 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Spencer has 22 years of experience as a commercial real estate mortgage banking professional where he’s completed more than $1.5 billion in CRE transactions (including sales in excess of $150 million). During his career Spencer has sourced loans ranging from $700,000 to $115 million across all property types in markets across the United States.Spencer brings a “do it all” attitude to Thomas D. Wood and Company to ensure his clients receive the highest level of service possible. Prior to joining Thomas D. Wood and Company, Spencer was a Principal with Professional Mortgage of North Carolina from July 2001 to 2017 when the firm sold its $1 billion commercial loan portfolio to First Tennessee Bank. He continued originating CRE mortgage loans on behalf of his extensive client roster with the bank as Senior Director until 2023.

Spencer is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and native of Louisville, KY.Prior to joining Professional Mortgage of NC, he spent 11 years in the Advertising/Marketing industry in Knoxville, TN, Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC.Spencer has over 33 years of experience in sales and marketing.
