Background

Since 1987, Mr. Wood was a Chairman of Thomas D. Wood and Company, one of Florida’s leading independently owned Mortgage Banking Firms. The firm engages in the financing of commercial real estate with a servicing portfolio in excess of one billion dollars.

Affiliations

Mr. Wood was a member of the Florida Bar, a former member of the Board of Governors, and a former Special Assistant Attorney General. Mr. Wood was a former member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, and has served on the Board of Directors of several Florida banks. Mr. Wood was a past President of the Orange Bowl Committee. He served in the United States Navy, Judge Advocate General Corps, and retired with the rank of Captain.

Education

Thomas D. Wood Sr., was a native Miamian and graduate of the University of Miami’s School of Business and School of Law. He currently served the University as a member of the Board of Trustees.
