Background

Michael Jimenez joined Thomas D. Wood and Company in 2026 as Senior Vice President working closely with owners, developers, investors, and operators to arrange customized financing solutions across a broad range of property types nationwide.

Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, capital markets, and mortgage banking. Throughout his career, he has advised institutional investors, financial institutions, and commercial real estate owners on acquisition, refinancing, recapitalization, and structured finance transactions.

Prior to joining Thomas D. Wood and Company, Michael held positions with Trammell Crow Company, Voya Financial, Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, and Auction.com Commercial (now Ten-X), where he developed expertise in online auctions, agency and CMBS financing, industrial sales and leasing, and Life Co lending. Michael also currently serves as a founding board member for Xchange.Loans, a SaaS marketplace for commercial loan sales.

Over the course of his career, Michael has participated in transactions representing more than $2 billion in commercial real estate volume involving over 10,000 assets nationwide.

Education

Michael earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Real Estate and Finance from Florida State University. He is a Chartered Realty Investor (CRI) and a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate.
